Session at Smart Cities Expo World Congress: Smart Solutions for Low Carbon Cities

EnerNETMob participated in the "Mobility Challenges in Urban and Metropolitan areas" conference that took place in Barcelona (Spain) on the 12th and 13th of November 2018. The event was organized by the Urban Transport Interreg-MED Community (a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund in the framework of the Interreg MED Programme) and SMART MR Project (Interreg Europe). The second day was located inside the Smart City Expo in “Agora” amphitheater. Exhibitors surrounded the open conference area providing us with a significant visibility.

“Smart Solutions on Electro-mobility” City of Nicosia – mr. I.Panayiotidis, Ministry of Transport and Works-Cyprus - EnerNETMob Project.

Conclusion: the Ministry, has already recognized how imperative is to boost the efforts of our cities and communities to become “Smart”. they are encouraging strategic initiatives and actions that will result in the implementation of small or large scale projects and in best practices regarding knowledge sharing. EnerNETMob represents one of our many innovative initiatives and projects.

Cyprus capital city, Nicosia, represents a very good example of that, as classic infrastructure and city regeneration projects under implementation, have incorporated a full list of smart solutions based on the city’s Smart Strategy. This is exactly the way we will design all our future interventions to the areas of our responsibility: “SMART by DESIGN”.
